KWIKHAUS use low-carbon, ‘drop-in’ alternatives to widely used building materials and processes. In particular, traditional lime plaster and gypsum-based plasterboard (the world’s third most used building material). Insulation using natural products as our primary feedstock.

We explore with our partners in MMC/Off Site constructed housing systems, how low carbon materials can integrate to evolving delivery methods. Using tools to qualify the embodied carbon of the systems to specifically design solutions that has embodied carbon at the heart of the design.

KWIKHAUS seek to understand the energy reduction and health impact of moisture buffering materials in use in a home in comparison to standard, non-breathable materials.
